“Nature Beyond Sight” Feature Exhibit at Ascension Fine Arts
August 25 – September 20
Ascension Fine Arts hosts Nature Beyond Sight, a feature exhibit of work by Kelcie Danyel. The show will run from August 25th through September 20th. An artist’s reception will be held on August 27th from 4 pm – 7 pm during the Fourth Friday Village Art Walk.
Danyel’s work explores the boundaries of combining materials and mediums to create impressionistic images that feature bright colors and soft lines. She works with acrylics and oils and adds found objects to further explore how individuals experience the world around them. Danyel’s work frequently includes textures created through paint and found objects. She encourages her viewers to get up close and even touch and interact with the pieces. This interaction helps manifest the ideas of art and accessibility to the visually impaired as well as the visually enabled. Danyel is from Corydon, Indiana and holds a BFA from IUS.
