Native American Heritage Month at eXplore Brown County

November 23, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Marveling at the beauty of Brown County, our first inhabitants left no footprint behind. Explore that same beauty on a zip line tour! The migratory Delaware Indians came to Brown County’s dense green hardwood forest to hunt wild turkeys, gray squirrels, white tailed deer, and black bear. Cutting through Brown County, the Buffalo migration route or “the trace” led our native people on their travels. They stopped to worship and enjoy the beauty, serenity, and the abundance of nature found in Brown County. The guides at eXplore Brown County celebrate with you the rich history of Native American life in Brown County during the month of Thanksgiving. Guides will share stories and local history relating to the native Brown County people who lived vibrant, meaningful, and diverse lives filled with cultural expression. Much of Brown County’s landscape has changed drastically since these people roamed the hills. But, at eXplore Brown County you can soar through the trees and enjoy a landscape much like it once was. Zip line guides will illuminate the significance of the people who lived and loved the hills of Brown County hundreds of years ago.

Cost varies based on tour; see website. Closed on Tuesdays. Closed on Wednesdays starting the week of Thanksgiving.
