Hippy Hill Dead Fest
July 30 - July 31
Welcome to the Inaugural Hippy Hill Dead Fest – a JGB Tribute & Birthday Celebration featuring the music, the life, and the culture of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead era. We hope you join us for this 2-day party in the historic Bill Monroe Music Park in Brown County. Two stages of music, food and merchandise vendors. Onsite camping, golf cart rentals and late night jams around the campfires. We are excited to announce that Rumpke Mountain Boys will be performing during this year’s Inaugural Hippy Hill Dead Fest.
Jerome John “Jerry” Garcia was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known for his work as the lead guitarist and as a vocalist with “Grateful Dead”. Throughout his 30-year career, Jerry performed with numerous musicians. In March of 1973, Jerry Garcia, John Kahn, David Grisman, Peter Rowan, and Richard Greene perform for the first time as Old & in the Way at the Record Plant in Sausalito, CA. Vassar Clements would later replace Greene on fiddle.
