Join in the fun of the Arts of the Earth Day celebration, visit Selma Steele’s Formal Garden, and earn your Spring Gardener badge while learning what it means to be a gardener. Discover how to identify plants and find out what type of garden you could cultivate at home. Next, choose from a selection of seeds to plant in your own garden. Registration required by April 13 and limited to 15 scouts and eight adults. Price: $10/scout, $5/adult

36th Annual Wildflower Foray

Experience hikes, nature and flowers during this three-day, co-operative event throughout Brown County. Venture out on wildflower and bird walks, take a wetland hike, explore nature photography and more at T.C. Steele State Historic Site and other locations throughout the area. Historic building tours are not included in this event but can be purchased with site admission. Other locations may have gate fees. Pre-registration required for some Wildflower Foray activities.

Enjoy a delightful evening of Brown County's most talented residents, produced and emcee'd by Kara Barnard. The show features a variety of ensembles, solos and duets ranging from 6 years to 18 years old - with a few old ones as guest artists! Beer, wine & mixed drinks along with soda, candy, and fresh popcorn are sold in the auditorium. Youth 12 and under are free. $10 per ticket.

The historic buildings are open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., as long as volunteer docents are available. You’ll also find live spinning demonstrations on Sundays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Pioneer Village Loom Room with curator Barbara Livesay. Free to attend; donations are appreciated.

These 11:15am tours will occur on the first Saturday and first Sunday (excluding holidays or special program days) of the calendar month.
