William McKendree Snyder was an American painter active in Indiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries best known for detailed Indiana landscapes. He was one of the first artists to paint in Brown County, Indiana making him a forerunner of the Brown County Art Colony. He studied with Eaton, Bierstadt and Inness and influenced by the Hudson River School. December 20, 1848 – September 30, 1930. View this private collection exhibit of this turn of the century Southern Indiana artist's work. A special program by Rachel Berenson Perry will be scheduled during the exhibit. Gallery hours 10 am - 5 pm, Sunday Noon - 5 pm. Free admission and free parking.
