Artistic Endeavors Weekend Workshop: Figure Drawing

Study the human form in varied poses with graphite and charcoal while using a variety of techniques to capture light and shade in T.C. Steele’s Large Studio. Live model will be nude during portions of the workshop. Weekend workshops are taught by local arts/design instructor and T.C. Steele State Historic Site Interpreter Taresah Youngman. Tickets are $100/person, 25% discount for members. All materials included. Registration required by May 8.

Pioneer Women’s Quilt Exhibit

This year, the Pioneer Women Club will have a quilt exhibit at the Brown County History Center instead of the traditional quilt show! Exhibit will be the first two Fridays and Saturdays in June (June 4th, 5th, 11th, & 12th) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The PWC will display quilts from their members' personal collections. Many have won honors in the past! There will be vendors and the Pioneer Women's Shop will be open and full of all kinds of things quilter's need! This will not be a judged show.

Purchase tickets for this year's raffle quilt; all proceeds go to the Brown County Historical Society. Free admission to the quilt exhibit, but donations are gratefully accepted.

Save the date! On the first weekend of every month in 2021, T.C. Steele SHS will offer a morning tour of the historic buildings especially for children and their adults, designed to serve ages 4-14! These 11:15am tours will occur on the first Saturday and first Sunday (excluding holidays or special program days) of the calendar month. To ensure tour availability, please call the site at 812.988.2785 to reserve a date and time for your tour.
