That’s right, we’re bringing Brown County to you.

Brown County State Park

Indiana’s largest state park is serving up loads of virtual things to do! Tune in to the State Park’s Facebook page every Tuesday at 2 p.m. for #TrailTuesdays. Not only will a naturalist take you on a stroll through the woods, but you’ll also learn all about the featured trail. Almost as good as a real hike…with some cool facts along the way!

Tune in on Fridays at 1 p.m. for virtual programs from the Nature Center. Each Friday will cover a different topic such as wildflowers, water, and hidden historic villages. As soon as the video is posted, a Watch Party will follow so you can talk to a naturalist in real time!


DNK Presents

Since we’re on the topic of the outdoors, check out the DNK Presents Facebook page for tons of virtual adventure. From live mountain bike skill events and videos filled with tips to blogs on how to continue to live adventurously in quarantine, this outdoor company has plenty of content to feed your nature-loving soul!

DNK even wants you to get involved. Share photos and videos of you in action in the great outdoors and use #dailyDNKadventure for a chance to win some DNK swag!

Simply Fitness

Another good way to stay active during this time is with a little online yoga! Get your virtual flow on with Simply Fitness. Choose from hour-long evening classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m., shorter 30-minute lunchtime sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:15 p.m., and 60-minute Saturday morning classes at 9 a.m.

It’s hard being at home. Take the edge off with a cocktail! Instead of your standard mixed drink, try out something new. After all, you don’t have anything better to do than experiment in the kitchen.

Rainwater Studios

Who needs Hulu when you can tune in to a live concert? Local musician and performer Kenan Rainwater is bringing virtual entertainment to you through Rainwater Studios.

On both Monday and Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Kenan will go live on the Rainwater Studios Facebook page. Not only will you get to enjoy his talent, but he’ll also be broadcasting performances by some of his pals. Now that’s music to our ears…and a little weekday fun to look forward to!

Brown County Radio Hour

Get the inside scoop on what’s going on in Brown County from a local perspective on Brown County Radio Hour! This homegrown community radio program is broadcast live the first Sunday of the month at 9 a.m., and the following Wednesday at 6 p.m., on WFHB Radio in Bloomington.

Virtual hiking

Did you know that you can hike Brown County’s trails virtually? That’s right, you don’t even have to leave your house to enjoy our beautiful scenery. Simply grab your computer and go to Google Maps. Type in the location where you want to “hike.” Click on the little yellow man in the lower right corner (street view) and look for the blue lines on the map. Click on whatever trail you want to discover and get to virtually trekkin’!
