Day 1
Morning: Call The Rawhide Ranch in advance to make a reservation for Holler Hoppin’ Zip Lines. A zip line trail through the trees can be a great way to start the day and start your heart a pumpin’. Located on State Road 135 South, just a few miles south of State Road 46. If you get your hop in before lunch, continue down scenic State Road 135 to The Story Inn to relax and enjoy a sandwich out on the patio.
Afternoon: Adventure will take place in The Brown County State Park – Indiana’s largest park with over 15,000 rolling, wooded acres. The North gate is located off of State Road 46 about a mile from the town of Nashville. The mountain bike trails are rated #3 in the nation and will range from beginner trails to expert trails. OR park at The Recreation Building (Letter F on your complimentary map) and begin your walking trail on #4. It will connect with Trail #7 which winds around Ogle Lake. You can then link up to Trail #5 for a rugged ending to your afternoon.
Evening: By now, you’re probably ready to check into your room at The Artists Colony Inn in downtown Nashville. Located just three blocks north of State Road 46 on the East side of the street, you can find their parking lot by driving alongside the building and parking behind the Inn. Parking is complimentary for guests. They guarantee a 4:00 check in for your room. Enjoy a delicious dinner while sitting under the covered porch on the front of The Artists Colony Inn.
You might like to finish the evening with a Couples Massage at the Ethereal Day Spa & Salon, just a block south of your hotel. Or take a short walk up to Molly Lane and enjoy a homemade brew at Big Woods Brewing Company.
Day 2
Morning: The sun rises on your second day in Brown County with a free breakfast buffet served to guests in the Artists Colony Dining Room from 7:30 till 10:30. Get driving directions from the front desk and head out to Appleworks in Trafalgar. Enjoy fresh picked apples, the pumpkin patch, sunflower field, petting zoo and a relaxing stoll around the pond. Buy an ice cream cone, caramel apple, fudge or other delightful treat from the bakery.
Afternoon: Make a reservation at Schooner Valley Stables for a fun trot on a gallant steed or call Explore Brown County at Valley Branch Retreat to reserve an ATV for an exciting, guided ride through over 400 acres of forest.
Evening: Return to The Artists Colony Inn and enjoy the sunset from your balcony before coming downstairs to the dining room for dinner. Remember to use your 10% off coupon for your meal. After dinner enjoy live music at several venues within walking distance of the Inn or purchase a ticket to a performance at the Brown County Playhouse – just a half-block from home.
Day 3
Morning: Another complimentary breakfast buffet awaits you on your last day in Nashville, Indiana. Enjoy the fried biscuits and apple butter – a Nashville tradition and a full hot buffet. After your 11:00 check out, visit over 100 individually unique shops. Typically the shops are open from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. daily.
