Brown County is the perfect destination for people who love walking, running, and the outdoors. It is home to the largest (and we like to think most beautiful) Indiana State Park, the Brown County State Park, as well as Yellowwood State Forest, and the new Salt Creek Trail.

Salt Creek Trail
The Salt Creek Trail is new to Brown County as of 2013. It officially opened on November 8, 2013. This paved trail is three-fourths of a mile. It starts at the Brown County YMCA and ends at the CVS in town. It's great for running or walking at your own pace. Read about the Salt Creek Trail in our blog.
The local YMCA holds an annual "Dash for a Heart 5k" in February that begins at the YMCA and goes along the Salt Creek Trail, through the Village of Nashville, and then heads back to the YMCA. Click here to download the route map.
