Bill Monroe’s Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival, the world’s oldest, continuous running bluegrass festival, will return to Brown County for a 49th year, June 13-20. For eight straight days, over 70 bands will take the stage showcasing some of the best in bluegrass.

Celebrating Life, Music and a Legend at the John Hartford Memorial Festival, May 28-30

Back for a fifth year, the John Hartford Memorial Festival will bring together both musicians and music lovers to celebrate the life, music and legacy of the late John Hartford. Taking place May 28-30 at the historic Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground in Bean Blossom, Ind., this three-day, family-friendly festival will feature over 40 performers on three stages, around the clock campground jamming, a songwriting contest, and an Old Time Fiddle contest.

Brown County Art Gallery Foundation Hosts Family Treasures Sale

The Brown County Art Gallery Foundation will host its annual Family Treasures Sale on November 15. The sale, which opens for preview on November 12 features over 40 works of art by early Indiana artists. The paintings have been consigned for sale from as far away as Madison, Wisconsin to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Others come from right here in Nashville. Most have been held in private collections for many years and are now being offered for sale to benefit the Gallery and its expansion plan.
