Experience the One, the Only Gnawbrew Beer, Art, and Music Festival, September 15-16
September 7, 2017
GnawBrew Beer, Art and Music Festival returns to Brown County for an eighth year on September 15-16, bringing together local and regional breweries, homebrewers, and beer connoisseurs, along with Hoosier artists and musicians. A celebration of Indiana’s finest beer, art, and music, GnawBrew is actually three festivals rolled into one. More than your typical beer fest, GnawBrew is a one-of-a-kind Brown County experience worth checking out!
Presented by Quaff ON! Brewing Co., GnawBrew is one great craft beer weekend in the woods! The festival’s secluded setting creates the perfect atmosphere for a laid-back weekend filled with fun. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet and greet Hoosier brewers, performing bands, and featured artists as they mingle around the festival’s grounds and campsites at eXplore Brown County.
From unlimited samples of beer and a stellar music line-up to art in action, GnawBrew is a guaranteed good time. There will be no shortage of samples for guests, who will be able to try out as many brews as desired. From regional favorites and traditional style beers to more unconventional flavors and home-brewed creations, all taste buds are sure to be satisfied.
Unique GnawBrew originals also include the festival’s Beer Exchange and Homebrew Competition. Guests will be able to sample an even wider variety of beers courtesy of their fellow festival-goers during GnawBrew’s Beer Exchange. Those bringing a six-pack or growler of their favorite craft beer to the festival will be able to participate in the exchange. Once compiled, contributed beer from all participating guests will be up for grabs in this community-driven beer tasting feature going on both days of the fest.
Additionally, homebrewers will be able to showcase their skills during the festival’s Homebrew Competition on September 15. After their competition at 5 p.m., homebrewers will be serving their fresh beers around 6 p.m. on Friday night to festival guests. All samplers are urged to cast their vote for the coveted “Crowd Favorite Award!”
While the beer alone is plenty enough reason to attend GnawBrew, this festival goes beyond the beverage, offering tons of entertainment for its guests in the form of art and music. Festival-goers will be able to admire artwork by talented Hoosier artists, along with enjoying top-notch musical performances, all while enjoying their new found favorite libations. Be sure to be on the lookout for the festival’s featured artist, who will be demonstrating onsite. This year, there’s even going to be a crowd painting project for guests to join in on!
Live music also will be ongoing throughout the duration of the festival on both Friday and Saturday and will feature performances by talented artists from all over the state of Indiana, such as Bigfoot Yancey, Cut Camp, Split Rail, Earphorik, The Trip, Rainwater, along with several other well-loved local and regional musicians.
As if all that wasn’t enough, GnawBrew offers primitive tent campsites to all festival-goers purchasing a ticket. Guests are encouraged to keep the fun going, getting the full festival experience by camping at eXplore Brown County overnight.
