Brown County Art Gallery Foundation Hosts Family Treasures Sale

The Brown County Art Gallery Foundation will host its annual Family Treasures Sale on November 15. The sale, which opens for preview on November 12 features over 40 works of art by early Indiana artists.
The paintings have been consigned for sale from as far away as Madison, Wisconsin to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Others come from right here in Nashville. Most have been held in private collections for many years and are now being offered for sale to benefit the Gallery and its expansion plan. Artists include T.C. Steele, V.J. Cariani, Gustave Baumann, Ada and Adolph Shulz, Carl Graf, E.K. Williams, C. Curry Bohm, Will Vawter and many others.
Envelopes will be placed by each painting and anyone wanting buy the painting at the tagged price can place their name in the envelope. On Saturday, November 15 at 2 p.m., the names will be drawn and the paintings sold.
Sale preview will be November 12-15 during regular business hours. The paintings will remain on sale through the holidays. Proceeds from the Family Treasures Sale will go to the Brown County Art Gallery Foundation.
Several paintings for sale can be seen on Brown County Art Gallery’s website, with more being added daily. Interested buyers can sign up for email updates on this website. Attending one of the preview showings is highly recommended, as prices will be set when the preview opens.
