15th Annual Indiana Wine Fair to Be Held May 13 in Brown County
May 3, 2017
On May 13, one of Indiana’s oldest and largest wine events will be held in Brown County. An afternoon of wine, music, food and fun, the Indiana Wine Fair returns to the Story Inn for a 15th year in a row.
From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests will be able to savor complementary one-ounce pours of the state's finest wines. With dozens of participating wineries, a wide variety of wines will be on hand to sample. From refined Rieslings and Rosés to mouthwatering Malbecs and Merlots, festival-goers are sure to find a new favorite.
A true debutante party for Hoosier vintners, the Indiana Wine Fair has grown to be the largest event featuring exclusively Indiana wines. Guests also will treat more than their taste buds as they soak in the rustic charm of the historic Story Inn. Lush spring scenery and fine wine will be the perfect complement to live music, which will be ongoing throughout the day on Story’s barnyard stage.
The music line-up will be like wine for your ears, featuring top-notch local and regional performers. Festival-goers will be able to kick back, relax, and sip some vino as they enjoy a blend of folk, bluegrass, and acoustic sounds coming from the mainstage!
Food, as well as glasses and bottles of wine, will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon too.
Admission to the festival is $60 per person for those consuming wine and only $10 for designated drivers. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to attend and must present an ID upon arrival. Admission also includes a Story Inn keepsake wine glass. No coolers are allowed at the event, but guests are encouraged to bring chairs, umbrellas, and/or blankets.
More information and tickets are available online at www.indianawinefair.com. Online pre-sale tickets only will be accepted this year. No tickets will be for sale at the gate. A free shuttle service will be running from Eagle Park (baseball field two miles west of Nashville) to the Indiana Wine Fair the day of the event.
Undeniably delicious and filled with fun, there is no better way to spend a Saturday in Brown County than at the 15th Annual Indiana Wine Fair on May 13!
