About Brown County Art Guild

Located in the Historic Minor House  48 S. Van Buren Street

Nestled in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Brown County Art Guild is steeped in tradition while looking forward to an exciting future in this bustling arts colony.

The Guild is the home to the Marie Goth Estate Collection, which includes major works by four of the Guild's founding artists, Marie Goth, V.J. Cariani, Carl Graf and Genevieve Goth Graf. The Brown County Art Guild also features and sells the artwork of over 45 regional member artists. Marie Goth was well known for her portrait paintings throughout the 20th century, especially her paintings of the founders of the art colony. When she died in the late 1970's, she left her estate to the Brown County Art Guild. We we are proud to preserve the legacy and artwork of this amazing woman and her collection of paintings by her peers. The Art Guild also has a gift shop featuring local artisan wares such as pottery, jewelry, books, prints and note cards.
