Art from a Creative Mind

B3 Gallery in Nashville, Indiana is hosting “Art from a Creative Mind: See it, Like it, Paint it” featuring work by local artist Sally Greeno. The show will run from August 20 through September 26. An artist's reception will be held on Friday, August 24, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the gallery. Sally Greeno moved to Brown County and began painting after she retired. She works in acrylics and watercolor, and enjoys experimenting with a variety of styles. Her show includes traditional pieces as well as abstracts, Brown County primitives and impressionist paintings.

Ascension Fine Arts Presents "Sandy Whiskers: A Whimsical Menagerie"

Ascension Fine Arts is hosting “Sandy Whiskers: A Whimsical Menagerie” featuring work by Indiana artist Perry Couch. An artist reception will be held on Friday, August 24, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the gallery. Working on wood with acrylic and colored pencil Perry creates whimsical animal caricatures such as cats who are pirates or surfers, pelicans, flamingos, geckos and more. Bring in a photo and let your pet become a pirate, a princess or another persona!

Interpreting Realty - Carolyn Anderson Workshop

Learn to interpret and see visual information in a new and interesting way! Carolyn’s teaching is based on years of experience explaining how to interpret edges, color temperature, and shapes, and learning how to recognize patterns and make comparisons. Her goal is to empower artists to look and see a little differently and be able to expand their own personal expression. Instruction will be in oils and the class is primarily for the intermediate to advanced painter.
