Bussert Images Photography at Chateau Thomas Winery

Chateau Thomas Winery is hosting "Brown County and Beyond", an exhibit by local photographers Jessica and Sharon Bussert. The show runs until March 31. The artists will be at the Winery on February 17 from 7-10 p.m. to talk with patrons. "Brown County and Beyond" highlights some of the Bussert’s favorite local images, as well as wildlife and landscapes from their recent travels. The show is presented in both color and black and white. The Busserts are co-owners of B3 Gallery in Nashville.

BC Art Guild Annual Young Artist Show

The Brown County Art Guild will be hosting its annual Young Artist Show February 9 - March 3! Artists under the age of 18 may apply to participate for $15. A total of five awards will be given! A reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 with awards presented at 3 p.m.

A Taste of Art - Wine Tasting and Art Auction

The Rotary Club of Brown County is proud to present "A Taste of Art” Wine Tasting and Art Auction! Head to The Seasons Lodge for an evening of fun filled with fine wine and beautiful art. Wine tasting will begin at 5 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by a live art auction. Add to your art collection and sample delicious wine from Brown County's wineries, along with tasty hors d'oeuvres.

24th Annual Victorian Tea

Don't miss out on the 24th annual Victorian Tea at the Brown County Art Gallery! Stephanie Holman, professional storyteller, will present her program “The Search for a Place and Time to Paint.” Ms. Holman’s program focuses on three artists who spent a great deal of time in Brown County, Ada Shulz, Alberta Shulz, and Marie Goth. There also will be favors, raffles, and door prizes. Sells out every year! Advance reservations are required.

Batik Art on Paper Workshop

2018 April 14

This batik class combines drawing, painting, using a wax resist, dying with inks and watercolors, and embellishing. You will have time to create two or three small pieces in this workshop. Since hot wax, as well as an iron, will be used, this class is not recommended for children under 12. Pre-registration is REQUIRED! Use event website to sign up!

20th Annual Mabel B. Annis Student Art Competition

2018 April 21-30
     May 1-6

The annual Mabel A. Annis Student Art Competition will be held April 21 - May 6, showcasing student artwork from over 14 Indiana school in seven surrounding counties. Opening reception is Sunday, April 22 from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. There will be over $1500 awarded in prize money and Indiana Heritage Arts will again be presenting a "$150 IHA Teacher of the Year" award in both the Junior High and Senior High Divisions.

Indiana Printmakers Get Their Due - Exhibit and Opening Reception

2018 May 5-27

A rare exhibit of the Brown County Art Gallery’s entire early Indiana print collection featuring etchings by L.O. Griffith, Kenneth Reeve, Will Vawter, and more will open this spring. The collection was recently reframed to museum standards with a generous grant from the Indiana Historical Society. In addition, current printmakers from three major print organizations will be exhibiting and selling their work. The Opening Reception on May 5 will have food and wine available. The exhibit will be open to the public May 5 - May 27.

40th Annual Indiana Heritage Arts Annual Exhibition and Sale

This is a juried fine art exhibition and sale. Entries will include oil and acrylic paintings, pastels, watercolors, etchings and drawings by over 130 of Indiana's finest artists. Many of the works are rendered in the style of the early Brown County artists. This exhibit lasts only three weeks and admission is free.
